No need to worry about keratoconus. What you are told, are not related to keratoconus.
Astigmatism is a big word with little meaning. Do not worry.
Think about other things in life, there are no glasses / contact lenses for the simple condition of his eyes.

Astigmatism means that your eyes more like a balloon, instead of every year is marked. I work for a company, contact lenses and glasses throughout the day. When you get older your eyes will not be ugly. You said that your employees share -675, -1200 I saw him wear.

What is keratoconus?
Keratoconus is a disease of the cornea, that when the dome is usually to the cornea (the transparent surface of the eye) gradually becomes thinner causing a bulge to develop cone occurs. It is usually diagnosed during adolescence and adulthood, with a variable rate of progression.

The bump or "cone" of the belly is not always caused by intraocular pressure on the normal areas of the diluted cornea. Since the cornea is responsible for most of the refracting light Coming in the eye, an abnormally shaped cornea can take the visual acuity to create and influence how you see. This reduced vision can make everyday tasks more difficult, such as while driving, watching TV or reading.

The true cause of keratoconus is still unknown, but there have been studies indicating a genetic and hereditary diseases. Recent statistics estimate a higher incidence of 1 / 1000 on the basis of computerized corneal topography, pachymetry, and higher order aberrations. The disease affects men and women in equal proportion, and occurs in both eyes in 90% of patients.

Before using the crosslinking of collagen in the cornea of 10% of keratoconus patients will require a corneal transplant.
